The official hotel and venue for the BEM 2024 conference is the Charleston Marriott (170 Lockwood Dr, Charleston, SC 29403). The hotel is located on the west side of Charleston along the Ashley River about a 10 minute walk from downtown Charleston.

Charleston Marriott Information

We have arranged discounted room rates for a premium hotel in Charleston during the high spring travel period. The room rate is the same for queen or king rooms no matter how many occupants. Sharing is encouraged as the hotel has a limited number of rooms available for this discounted rate. These rates are guaranteed until the cut-off date of March 8th, 2024.

Air Travel

The Charleston International Airport, a busy mid-sized airport served by numerous US and foreign airlines, is only 18.5 km from the conference venue at the Charleston Marriott.

TRANSPORT FROM CHARLESTON AIRPORT TO HOTEL

The hotel does NOT have an airport shuttle. Your options are:

  • Taxi/Shuttle
  • Uber/Lift
  • Bus: Route 11 will get you from airport to Meeting Street Visitors Center (~3 km from meeting venue), then the 213 or the 30 will get you close to the Marriott  
  • BY CAR: Take I-26 S from the airport to peninsular Charleston where I-26 becomes US-17. The conference hotel is only ~300 m off of US-17 (turn left onto Lockwood Drive before leaving peninsular Charleston).

Parking in Charleston

The Charleston Marriott offers guests valet parking with in/out privileges. Self-parking in the Hyatt garage is also available and likewise includes in/out privileges.

Public Parking near Charleston Marriott 

 A public parking garage (99 Westedge St.) is a two-minute walk from the venue. Rate is $2/hour or $18/day. On-street parking near the hotel is almost non-existent.
